OUR Monitoring CAPABILITY

Having reliable fire and security systems on site is imperative, but remote monitoring, particularly for sites not occupied 24/7 is equally important to provide appropriate response to a fire or security incident., or to assist on-site personnel Also in this digital age, remote connectivity and diagnostics allow the efficient management of your installed systems to reduce call outs and carry out system interrogations prior to attendances to ensure correct parts and personnel are utilised.

CCTV Monitoring

We can remotely monitor CCTV systems to ensure intruders are identified and deterred when approaching / attempting to break into the perimeter of your building. CCTV systems linked to trigger devices can alert staff in our 24 hour monitored Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) as soon as they happen.

We can then give live speech announcements to the perpetrators advised they have been caught on camera to deter / avoid the break in. Having 24 / 7 remote CCTV monitoring can remove the need to have permanent security staff on site or work in conjunction with them to ensure any potential incidents are responded to swiftly and effectively.

Fire / Intruder Monitoring

If there are period when your building is unoccupied it is vital that your fire and intruder systems are remotely monitored by an Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC). That way if the fire or security system is activated the ARC can contact keyholders or even the police or fire service directly. We work with IP based and GPRS systems to ensure reliable signalling.

It is important to note that with the phase out of traditional telephone lines i.e. Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) by 31 January 2027 that a lot of system previously installed will no longer be functional. Therefore, now is the time to look at replacing your system. We can advise on the best solution for your site.

ECO and ECO+ (Engineering Communications Online)

ECO provides cloud based connectivity for your fire alarm system to give you notifications of events, service and system reports and many other benefits.

With compliance and auditable record keeping being of paramount importance, ECO records service activity to give a fool proof log of all devices tested and service progress. The system also logs weekly testing and it is possible to set a weekly testing schedule to ensure a different manual call point (MCP) is tested each week. A mobile phone app will tell the user which MCP to test, provide instructions and even allow confirmation of testing to be recorded.

ECO can also give notifications to mobile devices to alert specific staff in the event of a fire, fault or other predetermined conditions. This is particularly useful on campus type sites with multiple buildings ensuring immediate response in the event of a fire or other event. Occupants are kept safe, faults are actioned in a timely manner and your KPIs are met.

GRAPHICS USER INTERFACE

Graphics Systems provide easy to view and use monitoring of your fire alarm and other systems on a site. These are particularly useful on campus site and large site with multiple buildings. They can be a method of bringing information together from different systems to a single, easy to use Graphics User Interface. They provide a visual representation of the site and “buttons” can be set up for common functions such as plant isolations for weekly testing.

More and more systems also allow remote viewing via web browsers so it is possible to view incidents securely by multiple users on site or even off site.

REMOTE CONNECTIVITY

At Senseco we continue to lead the industry in providing innovative and market-leading technological solutions. We have developed options (subject to your system being technically capable) of remote reporting and remote diagnostics – ECO ‘Engineering Communications Online’ and ECO+ as part of our suite of solutions.

Somerset House

Somerset House is a heritage property dating back to 1547 in the heart of London. Although it is well known for it’s outdoor skating rink at Christmas and open air concerts in the summer, it has many other uses and accommodates many other tenants. It hosts the UK’s largest creative community working globally across art, technology, business and social enterprise.

The South Wing of Somerset House had a mix of hard wired fire detection system, an obsolete radio / wireless fire detection system and many aspiration systems, most no longeroperational. The project was to replace all of the systems in the South Wing with a single fire detection system for all areas and provide graphical representation of this wing and two other wings with legacy systems on a single graphics platform.

This was all to be carried out within a listed building with mixed use and different tenants with minimal disruption to day to day operations.

Castle Mall

Located in the centre of Norwich City, Castle Mall shopping centre comprises of 60 stores and food outlets, across five levels of retail and leisure, including an 8-screen Vue cinema. The centre also boasts a 790 space multi-storey car park.

The fire detection and alarm system installed in the shopping centre was a Honeywell FC90 system, which was closed protocol and had reached the end of its working life. A replacement system was therefore needed to provide a modern supportable system for the shopping centre.

This is a working shopping centre so minimal disruption to the operation of the shopping centre, retailers and shoppers was of paramount importance.
